MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The National Cotton Council (NCC) commends the Trump Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the prompt implementation of the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program (SDRP).
“We appreciate the speed and efficiency with which the USDA has moved to get this vital assistance to farmers,” said Patrick Johnson, Chairman of the National Cotton Council. “This rollout demonstrates a clear understanding of the urgency facing many U.S. cotton producers.”
“The farmer-friendly design of this initial phase will help expedite much-needed relief,” Johnson added. “We look forward to the second stage of this critical disaster assistance program, anticipated later this year, which will further support our nation’s agricultural producers.”
