In its final estimate of the 2018-19 U.S. cotton crop, USDA placed total production at 18.37 million bales, down slightly from the January estimate of 18.39 million.
The upland crop estimate was lowered by 30,000 bales from the January estimate to 17.57 million bales while the extra-long staple estimate was raised by 7,000 bales to 801,000 bales.
